The primary goal of AIM's 3 on 3 basketball league is to provide a fun and safe environment for young athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and form positive relationships with their peers. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in sports and the 3 on 3 format allows all players to participate in all aspects that the game of basketball allows. The skills learned on the basketball court can have a positive impact on their lives on and off the court.

To achieve this, we place strong emphasis on sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play. To encourage this atmosphere, we have no coach participation and our referee's will be the ones keeping score. We believe that winning is important, but not at the expense of the values that makes basketball great. We encourage our players to respect the game, their opponents and the officials.

Clinton and Renee Huggins have spent their lives nurturing and guiding young minds—Clinton with over 25 years of experience in teaching and mentoring at the Army and Navy Academy, and Renee with her expertise in customer service, retail management, and healthcare. Recognizing that students need more support outside the classroom, they founded AIM: Achievement In Motion to bridge this gap. The Youth Empowerment Program, their latest initiative, offers free academic tutoring and financial literacy classes every Saturday, providing crucial resources for students to succeed.

Housed in the newly established Youth Empowerment Center, generously provided by JCPenney at the Shoppes at Carlsbad, this program is designed to be a safe, welcoming space where young people can thrive. To bring this vision to life, we seek donations to create a comfortable and inspiring environment.
